Uvas Waterfall Loop Bridges Feasibility Study

Santa Clara County, California

Zander Westbrook Design is working with Santa Clara County Parks to conduct a feasibility study for a segment of trail that is currently closed due to multiple bridge failures. The study includes a waterway analysis, bridge repair or replacement recommendations, and trail modifications for improved access. The final study will provide multiple options that address environmental constraints related to bridge replacements, permitting requirements, accessibility, and trail condition, as well as a decision-making matrix to support the County as they determine how to reopen this popular trail.

The Uvas Waterfall Loop is a scenic and accessible 5.2-mile hike that offers glimpses into the natural beauty of Uvas Canyon County Park on the eastern side of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
