Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve Backcountry Trail Feasibility Study

Santa Clara County, California

Zander Westbrook Design is working with the Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority on a feasibility study for a multi-use trail network and backcountry campsites. The project team, which also includes the Santa Cruz Mountain Trail Stewards, Tim Best (Engineering Geologist), and Stillwater Sciences, is conducting a comprehensive site analysis and engaging with the community to inform the development of a conceptual plan.

The Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve Regional Trail Planning effort aims to expand multi-use access and regional trail connections to the southern portion of the Preserve while minimizing impacts on wildlife, sensitive vegetation, and water resources.
