Point Reyes Trail Master Plan

Zander Westbrook Design is leading the development of a trail master plan for Point Reyes National Seashore. This trails plan is part of the larger Trails Forever initiative with Red Bridge Group and the Point Reyes National Seashore Association and is being developed in partnership with the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria and the National Park Service. The team developed a comprehensive existing conditions report, including updates to the Park’s GIS database and the incorporation of data from Strava, AllTrails, and Open Street Map. The team is partnering on community and stakeholder outreach, which will inform the development of the final master plan.

Point Reyes Trail Master Plan aims to enhance visitor experiences through expanded trails, new camping options and improved accessibility. The plan focuses on landscape transformation, with existing ranch roads being converted into multi-use trails that will accommodate hikers, cyclists and equestrians.
